A dose of 150mg or more per 1 kg of body weight is considered toxic and potentially fatal for dogs. Your dog, much like yourself, should avoid consuming large amounts of caffeine to avoid potentially fatal side effects.
So although you may be tempted to share your morning beverage, dogs and coffee do not mix. Most cups of coffee contain at least 95 mg per 8 fl oz.
