Gas stations will run out of gasoline before they run out of chocolate snacks! As such, there are a plethora of options to choose from.
Using data compiled from my many, many cheat meals, I've put together a list of the best chocolate snacks you can find at your local gas station.
100 Grand Bars
One Hundred Grand Bars are probably the most underrated chocolate bars of all time. They are shaped like Butterfingers but have crispy wafers in them similar to Crunch bars.
In addition to this, they've got a ton of chewy caramel. The bars are delicious but I would exercise caution in giving them to small children.
The caramel is ridiculosly chewy, so much so that it was almost a choking hazard for me as an adult on several occassions.
TastyKake's Boston Creme Honey Bun
Tasty Kake makes one of the best honeybuns around. This iteration is covered in a nice layer of chocolate and contains creme filling.
I generally don't like creme filling within pastries but this one pairs nicely with the milk chocolate later.

Flipz Chocolate Covered Pretzels
These chocolate covered pretzels are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. If you like the taste of trail mix without those nasty raisins, this is the snack for you.
Bueno by Kinder
Bueno is another underrated chocolate snack that contains a delicious creamy nut filling. The milk chocolate tastes great and it has a crispy wafer in it.
It's kind of like a gourmet Twix bar.
Goldberg's Peanut Chews
Goldberg's Peanut Chews are basically chocolate Pay Days. They are packed with peanuts that are bound together with a layer of molasses.
It's all encased inside a delicious dark chocolate package.
Skor
Skor candy bars are suprisingly good. I typically don't eat toffee but this bar is different. It has a buttry taste that kind of reminds me of fresh based chocolate chip cookies.
These chocolate snacks are the unsung heroes of your local gas station. If your diet can spare the calories and extra sugar intake, give them a try on your next road trip.
